Boo!

Another Halloween come and gone - hooray!  (shhhhh!  don't tell anyone - it's my least favourite day of the whole year!)  But anyway, we dress up and have fun with it and hope the candy is all gone soon.  LOL!

So I will admit I was kinda complaining about Halloween and how I really didn't want to spend money on it this year.  Enter Aunt Christy.  Ever up for a challenge, she rounded up costumes for three out of four of my children.  Saved me time, energy, money, stress, etc.  Christy . . . you rock!  Thank you for helping me survive another October 31st!  Okay, it's not that bad.  Especially when I look back at the pictures of my kids having fun all dressed up.

Victoria was a dalmatian.   She wasn't a huge fan of the costume but it worked.  She found out that a little cutie patootie at church whom she loves so much was also going to be a dalmatian which made the costume okay after all.  The little guy is only about seven months old so I got some really cute pictures of them together.  Victoria was a little worried about scaring him since her costume isn't fuzzy and warm and too friendly looking . . . but he loved it!   It was also neat because Victoria's best friend at church was a cat.  Fun!

Austin had initially agreed to be a hockey player (mom's idea so I wouldn't have to spend any money on a costume - LOL!) but deep down he really wanted to be a character from Star Wars.  Well, Aunt Christy went up quite a few notches in his book when she surprised him with a clone trooper costume!  He was so pumped.

Samara was also going to be a hockey player (See where this is going??  No cost!) but then when Victoria and Austin both got costumes from Aunt Christy, she wanted one too!  Sorry Christy . . . one more kid to dress for Halloween!  Samara said she wanted to either be a pilot or a pirate.  Hmmm . . . turns out a pilot costume is hard to find, so a pirate she was.  And a pretty cute one if I do say so myself!  Aunt Christy thought maybe next year we could do the pilot thing . . . Amelia Earhart here we come!

And then there's Denver.  He's still at an age where he just kinda goes with the flow.  He was quite content to wear something from the dress up box.  So he went as spiderman . . . a hand me down costume from his big brother.  (Wasn't it just yesterday Austin wore that!)

So there you have it.  Phew!  Another trick or treat night out of the way.  Thanks again Christy!  I totally appreciate all the work you did to make my kids so happy.

What a fabulous blog! I have tears in my eyes reading it and looking at the awesome pictures! There is, of course, nothing that I would not do for you - my favourite busload of kids. I am already working on Denver's penguin and Samara's Amelia Earhart, so I just need the requests from Austin and Victoria! And Frodo? xo

What great costumes! Way to go Aunt Christy!

I'm with you in not enjoying Halloween. I'd be happy to see this one disappear. I don't mind the fun costumes but could do without all the scary stuff!
